Here's some brief information on our staff. When you're in the KSU Center taking a class or dropping by the Resource Library, please stop by to meet us in person!

 


Linda Lyons joined the Learning Center staff on January 4, 2005. As the Director of the Center for University Learning her role is to collaborate with on-campus partners to promote and implement professional enrichment programs for KSU constituents, formulating training policies and catalog training schedules, assessing the effectiveness of training workshops, and implementing the Kennesaw's customer service improvement initiative. Linda has been in the Training and Organizational Development field for many years, eight of those years are within the higher education arena. She holds an undergraduate degree in business administration with an emphasis on Management Development and completed her MS in Human Resource Development from Georgia State University in the Spring of 2003.

Lorraine Starks-Gamble joined Kennesaw State, January 23, 2007 as a Program Coordinator for the Master in Public Administration program.  She has a strong background in IT having worked in the field for over 17 years, which included 6 years as a Senior Training Consultant for 3M and St. Paul Travelers Insurance Company.  She has developed training that led to numerous recognitions and awards.  She also has a specialty in developing web-based training as well as on-line learning.  Her previous higher education experience includes working for the University of Minnesota and Southern Polytechnic State University.  She received her Six Sigma Black Belt from Southern Polytechnic State and is currently working on her PMP certification.  She received an MA in Public Administration from Hamline University, St. Paul, MN in the Spring of 1994.

Maxayn joined the University staff in 2000 as an Administrative Assistant in the Department of University Studies. She completed her Bachelors Degree in Organizational Communication at Kennesaw State University in Spring 2003 and is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Information Design and Communication at Southern Polytechnic State University. In August of 2004, Maxayn accepted the brand new position of Project Coordinator in the Center for University Learning. Maxayn brings her creative flair, graphic expertise and a warm smile to the Learning Center.

Anita is the center’s newest member joining the staff in July of 2005. She joined the KSU staff in August of 2003 as a Record Coordinator II in the Office of Financial Aid. Prior to accepting a job at Kennesaw State University, Anita was an employee for seventeen years at Lucent Technologies, formerly known as AT&T Network Systems. Her vast work experience has enabled her to sharpen and develop ample secretarial skills. Anita has also successfully completed an array of training courses that have supplied her with exceptional administrative skills and advanced computer proficiency.
