Mr. Lampkin is an assistant legal counsel at Kennesaw State University. Mr. Lampkin's main duties consist of providing legal support and counsel to KSU’s Student Success Division, Athletics, and Public Safety.
Mr. Lampkin has been a practicing attorney for over 6 years. He has been a part of KSU Legal Affairs since June of 2012. Before joining KSU, Mr. Lampkin practiced at the law firm of Deming, Parker, Hoffman, Campbell and Daly where he practiced general litigation, specializing in criminal, education, juvenile, appellate, and contract law. Before joining Deming Parker, Mr. Lampkin was a sole practitioner specializing in post-conviction matters. Mr. Lampkin also worked at Atlanta Public Schools as an Employee Relations Officer. As part of his duties there, he served as a hearing officer for employee grievances, advised managers regarding employment matters and investigated cases of employee wrongdoing. Mr. Lampkin also served as an Assistant Attorney General for the state of Georgia where he practiced in the criminal division. At the Attorney General's Office, Mr. Lampkin wrote numerous appellate briefs and argued before the Georgia Supreme Court. Mr. Lampkin began his legal career as an Assistant Solicitor General in Augusta, Georgia where he prosecuted hundreds of misdemeanor cases.
Mr. Lampkin obtained his B.A. in Political Science from Albany State University and his J.D. from Florida Coastal School of Law. Mr. Lampkin is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and is admitted to practice at the Georgia Supreme Court and the Georgia Court of Appeals.
