Find An Article On Your Topic

To find an article on a particular topic requires some research.

  1. You must first choose a database to search. This procedure is explained in our Find a Database page.

If you don't know which database would be the best one to search, we suggest you check the subject bibliographies page for some suggestions. If your subject isn't listed, you can ask a librarian for suggestions on where to search.

  2. If the article you found is not available online in that database, you must check the library's periodical holdings list to see if we subscribe to the journal in hardcopy, or if the article in question is available fulltext in another database.
  3. While we carry many of the journals in our databases, we are unable to subscribe to all of them. If the journal title does not appear on the periodical holdings list, or if the library doesn't have the particular issue you need, you will have to request the article through interlibrary loan.
