The Sturgis Library offers a wealth of resources: print and electronic books, government documents, periodicals, hundreds of informational databases, access to interlibrary loan, and more. New library resources are added all the time, and access to existing resources is always being enhanced. Library instruction sessions are available to expand faculty members' knowledge and use of these extensive resources.
Instruction sessions are conducted by Reference librarians who are subject specialists in their areas. A session may take place in one of the library's instruction labs, in an electronic lab in another classroom building, or even in the faculty member's office. An instructional consultation is also available by phone. Most sessions last approximately an hour.
Instructional sessions are available to individual faculty members, to academic departments, and to academic support groups like the Writing Center, The Center for University Learning, the Lifelong Learning Center, and CETL.
