Arriving at Kennesaw State University in 1975, Joseph Meeks has taught classes in Music Theory, Music Appreciation, Piano Literature and Pedagogy. He was appointed Chair of the Music Department in 1994. He was appointed Dean of the College of the Arts in 1996.

RECENT AWARDS

Lexus Leader of the Arts, selected for recognition for arts leadership, public radio and public television featured the College of the Arts at Kennesaw State University, September 2000

The Abbey Awards, Coca Cola Lifetime Achievement Award for Arts Leadership, awarded at annual Abbey awards, a celebration of Atlanta's arts scene October 16, 2000.
