Degrees Offered


The School of Music offers three different degree programs: 

 

  • Bachelor of Music in Performance, with applied concentrations in piano, voice, flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, saxophone, trumpet, horn, trombone, euphonium, tuba, percussion, harp, violin, viola, cello, double bass, and guitar. 
  • Bachelor of Music in Music Education, with applied concentrations in piano, voice, flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, saxophone, trumpet, horn, trombone, euphonium, tuba, percussion, violin, viola, cello, double bass, and guitar. 
  • Bachelor of Arts in Music with applied concentrations in piano, voice, flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, saxophone, trumpet, horn, trombone, euphonium, tuba, percussion, classical guitar, jazz guitar, violin, viola, cello, and double bass.

 

All three degrees offer rigorous training in music theory and aural skills, applied lessons on your principal instrument, extensive ensemble experience, an exposure to the history of Western music as well as world music, and music technology. A rich sequence of methods courses complements the exceptional education courses for music education majors. And all students take a complete academic curriculum to balance the professional music programs.
