Symphony Orchestra and Wind Ensemble
Audition Information
All KSU students interested in Performing in the Top Instrumental Rotation ( Symphony Orchestra/ Wind Ensemble) are required to audition. (University Philharmonic and Concert Band are available without an audition and just by registering for the class.) Auditions take place August 10-13. Please sign up here for an audition time for your instrument. Results will be posted on August 15. Students should then drop/add accordingly for the appropriate ensemble. Once you fill out the sign-up form, an audition time will be e-mailed to you within seven days.
The excerpts are available here. Please print the excerpts for your instrument and be prepared to play them plus 1-2 minutes of the solo or etude of your choice. Please be 10 minutes early to your audition AND DRESSED APPROPRIATELY. (Professional Business Attire). All auditions will take place in the Bailey Performance Hall.
