Benjamin Wadsworth


Assistant Professor of Music Theory


Ben Wadsworth received his doctorate in Music Theory from the Eastman School of Music in 2008. Dr. Wadsworth comes to Kennesaw State University from Louisiana State University, where he served last year as Visiting Instructor of Music Theory. His role at KSU will be as Coordinator of Aural Skills in the School of Music. His principal research interest is the interaction between different musical languages in early twentieth century art music. Dr. Wadsworth has a recently published analysis of Berg’s Op. 1 Piano Sonata in the 2009 volume of "Theory and Practice." He has secondary interests in performance on both piano and pipe organ. In his job at KSU, he seeks to combine research, performance and teaching for the enrichment of the academic community.
