John Marsh began his musical training studying piano with his aunt, Rosa Weikel. He earned the Bachelor of Music degree from Indiana University (http://music.indiana.edu/), and the Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees from the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University (http://music.rice.edu/). Dr. Marsh serves as Director of Music and Worship at Christ the King Lutheran Church, Norcross (Atlanta, www.ctklutheran.org). Having previously served Episcopal churches, he is a former chair of the Church Music Commission of the Episcopal Diocese of Texas (http://www.epicenter.org/musiccommission/). During his tenure as chair, a Children's Choir Camp at Camp Allen and the LPM program (The Leadership Program for Musicians - a continuing education program targeting church musicians serving smaller to mid-size congregations, www.lpm-online.org) were begun. Dr. Marsh is also a member of the adjunct faculty at LoneStar College (where he teaches online music classes, www.lonestar.edu), and has taught continuing education courses for the Graduate Theological Union at the Church Divinity School of the Pacific. He serves as coordinator and faculty for LPM in Atlanta as well as Past Chair of the national LPM Board.
