Susan White
Part-time Instructor of Music
Susan White has been Part-time Instructor of Music at Kennesaw State University since 1987, teaching class piano, piano, music history, and various other music courses. Her degrees include the B.M. in organ performance from Birmingham-Southern College and the M.M. in music history and literature from Georgia State University. Her piano studies were with Sam Howard, Everett Pittman, Joseph Meeks, and David Watkins; organ studies were with Sam Batt Owens and Ronald C. Rice. While living in Marietta, Georgia, Mrs. White maintained a private piano studio for twenty-five years and adjudicated piano festivals and competitions in the area. She has been organist and choral director at several churches in Cobb County, and currently is rehearsal accompanist for local church choral groups. She has served as President of the Cobb County Music Teachers Association and twice as Vice-President of the Georgia Music Teachers Association.
