The KSU Summer Dance Clinic provides high school students an opportunity to experience technical and artistic growth in an environment that fosters creativity and learning. Students will study with dance professors at KSU, and experience a variety of dance techniques and styles that are an integral part of dance education at this university.
The week-long intensive clinic will give students a comprehensive experience of undergraduate dance education. Students will take classes in modern, ballet, African and jazz technique, as well as experience theory classes in dance history and kinesiology. Faculty will set choreographic repertory that will be performed by the students in a concert at the end of the clinic. The Program in Dance at KSU also offers incentive scholarships to outstanding students who attend the clinic every year.
