Music History Placement and Course Exemption Policy for:
Music 3311 History of Music I
Music 3312 History of Music II
Any incoming music major (Freshman or Transfer) may request an exemption test for either of the required courses in the Junior Music History Sequence.
Contact Edward Eanes at eeanes@kennesaw.edu to schedule an appointment for the exam. Once the student schedules the appointment, she/he will receive both a study guide and a listening list of required excerpts. The listening portion will not only include excerpt identification but also style/genre/composer identification of works not included on the listening list.
A score of 80% or greater is required to exempt the course.
