Piano Studies
For more than 30 years, KSU has grown as vigorously as the region it serves. Commensurate with that growth has been the commitment to music as a cultural cornerstone. Whether your interest is in performance or education; the Division of Piano Studies at KSU’s School of Music offers a comprehensive curriculum to prepare you for a life in music.

   Piano students in the School of Music at Kennesaw State:

  • study with artist teachers who serve as professional role models for them;
  • become part of the close community at Kennesaw State University;
  • perform in repertoire classes and student recitals;
  • perform in master classes which are regularly presented by the faculty and guest pianists;
  • hear recitals by renowned artists. Celebrated pianists who have presented recitals and/or master classes at KSU in the recent past include Vladimir Feltsman, Lorin Hollander, Andre Watts, Jose Feghali and Susan Starr;
  • successfully compete in local, state and national competitions;
  • participate in chamber music and accompaniment experiences which are coached by the music faculty;
  • network with professional teachers organizations which meet regularly on campus;
  • are encouraged at the earliest opportunity to develop private studios of their own as a learning experience and to become professionally involved;
  • are accepted into noted graduate schools in music;
  • become established teachers and performers in the community.
