We've come a long way since 1968. 40 years of nursing excellence at Kennesaw State University. The first Nursing program at KSU began as Associate Degree program in 1968. In 1985, a Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing (BSN) program was added. In 1995, the associate degree program was discontinued with the last class graduating in 1997. In 1995, the first Master’s of Science in Nursing (MSN) program was added with the implementation of the WellStar Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Program. A second graduate program, the MSN in Advanced Care Management and Leadership, was added in 2003. The WellStar School of Nursing has an excellent record of making a difference by preparing professional nurses who are outstanding clinicians and leaders who possess the knowledge and skills to be successful in their courses as a professional nurse in the 21st century. The faculty and staff are proud of our rich legacy of excellence in nursing education.
