Faculty / Staff parking areas are located as follows: Lots B, C and E, the on-street parking located on Marietta Drive (up to the student housing gate), Paulding and Bartow Avenue. New for this year are specific areas in the East, West, and Central Parking Decks. The Church Lot and a portion of the East lot are reserved for economy parking. 1. New Faculty and staff members must obtain reserved parking permits from the Card Services Center, located on the 2nd floor of the Student Center. In order for the Card Services Center to be able to issue you a permit, you will need an employee identification card or a long term visitor request. You will also be asked to complete a vehicle registration form. This should be done the first day of operation on campus. The vehicle for which registration is sought must have a license plate on or in clear sight inside the vehicle and belong to the applicant or to a member of the applicant's immediate family. Proof of ownership and/or a photo ID may be required at the time of registration. Vehicles without license plates and/or a Kennesaw State University registration permit will be towed or immobilized in order to identify the owner of the vehicle. The monthly parking fee of $20 will be deducted automatically from every employee's paycheck unless you have signed up for economy parking ($5 per month) or have opted out of parking (no fee). The fee will be split for bi-weekly pay. For vendors, interns, consultants, and temps hired through an outside agency, and all other categories that frequent the campus will have the same parking options/prices, parking fees will need to be paid in advance at the Bursar's Office (2nd floor of the Student Center) and a receipt taken to the Card Services Center, located on the 2nd floor of the Student Center, prior to the issuance of a decal. A parking registration form will need to be submitted at the time of the decal pick up. 2. All non-student decals are valid only for faculty/staff reserved lots. The decal must be appropriately displayed, to avoid citations, in the lower left corner of the front window. 3. Faculty/Staff carpooling with students should park as follows: When parking in a faculty/staff designated area, please display your decal. These areas should only be accessed by faculty/staff. Faculty/staff may not loan or transfer the parking permit to any other person. When a student is operating the vehicle, it must be parked in the designated student areas with the student decal affixed on the lower left side of the front windshield. Since this car will be used both in faculty/staff and student areas depending on the operator of the vehicle, do not permanently affix the decal to the window. When the vehicle is parked in a student lot, the faculty/staff decal should be removed using only the general parking decal. When parked in a faculty/staff designated area, please remove the general parking decal displaying only the faculty/staff decal. Violators may be subject to suspended parking privileges. 4. Temporary permits are issued free of charge to students, faculty and staff that have previously been issued a decal. Temporary permits are for a limited time period. Notes left on or in the vehicle instead of a temporary decal will not be honored and will not prevent ticketing, impoundment, or immobilization of the vehicle. Temporary permits may be obtained at the visitor center next to Lot B. NOTE: The administration sets aside a sufficient number of reserved spaces to ensure all faculty and staff members have a place to park when they come to work. 5. Registered permit holders are responsible for all parking citations issued to vehicles displaying their permits. Individuals no longer affiliated with the University must return their reserved parking permits and have all their outstanding parking fines paid when they process out.
