Electrical services operates, maintains and repairs; building electrical systems, fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, emergency generators, emergency phones, elevators, kitchen equipment and parking lot lighting. They also perform construction renovations. The installations are most often new circuits and lighting or similar individual requests. Electrical services maintains all the ballfield lighting, scoreboards, message boards and walkway lighting. Electrical services also recycles all the used light bulbs and batteries that are replaced.

With KSU owning the electrical distribution system, the cost per kilowatt is one of the lowest in the university system.
