Careers and Job Opportunities in Public Service

Today many public and nonprofit organizations provide their job listings online. Some, including the U.S. Office of Personnel Management, provide additional services such as help with developing appropriate resumes and opportunities to explore career options. The following sites may prove helpful as you research a career field in the public sector or as you seek specific job openings.

In addition to those listed, many state and federal agencies as well as local governments provide specific job listings on their web pages. For example, the Cobb County site given below has a link to job listings in the county, but many other large and small cities and counties also provide this service from their web sites, for example, http://www.kennesaw.ga.us or http://co.fulton.ga.us.
