Helen S. Ridley Scholarship
Dr. Helen Ridley started the Master of Science in Conflict Management (MSCM) Program in 1999 and her efforts were crucial to its sustainability and growth. We now have more than 250 graduates working at places like The Carter Center, Centers for Disease Control, the United Nations, Georgia’s Department of Human Services, the Peace Corps, as well as serving as mediators, ombudsmen and managers at governmental and non-profit organizations worldwide.
Dr. Ridley devoted her career to KSU and its students; as a Professor, then as a Chair, and eventually as the Dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences. In order to permanently memorialize her contribution to KSU and to financially support the studies of current and future MSCM students, the Helen S. Ridley Scholarship was established. The scholarship is awarded annually in the summer semester to an MSCM student.
