Summer Study in China
General Studies Program
Zhengzhou,
May 12 - June 9, 2009
- Study at Zhengzhou University which is
close to many historical and cultural sites.
- Visit landmark cities like Beijing,
Xi’an, Zhengzhou, Luoyang, Shaolin
Temple, and Shanghai, and watch fabulous shows and
performances.
- Earn up to 6 semester hours from
courses taught by professors of the University System of
Georgia.
- All courses combine classroom
instruction with field trips, home visits, and weekend
excursions.
- Additional cultural enrichment
programs in martial arts, Tai-Chi, Chinese medicine,
culinary arts, etc. are offered.
- A joint program with the Asia Council’s Chinese Language
study is available (see below).
Program Costs: $3,650.00 includes:
roundtrip airfare, lodging and most meals, class field trips,
weekend excursions, most ground transportation, and visa
application.
Tuition and Textbooks: not included,
students pay tuition and fees based on the rate of participating
institutions.
Financial Aid: program costs may be
covered by financial aid from HOPE scholarship, student loans,
Pell Grant, and Regents Scholarship. Students should contact
the financial aid office at their home campus for application.

Joint
option with the Chinese Language program:
students have the option to sign-up for the USG Chinese Language
Program to earn additional 9 semester hours credits. Students
will pay pro-rated fees for the joint program. Contact Dr. Louis
