New KSU Web Learners Program

Kennesaw State University is increasing its commitment to online learning.  We are investing in new teaching technologies and providing our faculty with the resources and training to enhance and expand online course offerings.  Our goal is to integrate our excellent curriculum and programs with the convenience made possible by the web. 

As part of our commitment to online learning, we are creating a new program beginning Spring Semester, 2008, called the KSU Web Learners Program.  “Web Learners” are students who enroll exclusively in online courses.   The KSU Web Learners Program is open to any student who is currently enrolled and in good academic standing. 

One of the benefits of signing up for the Web Learners Program is the opportunity to register for online courses before Priority Registration begins.  To obtain this benefit, you must sign up for the Web Learners Program by the deadline (see below).  If you later decide not to participate in the Program, you must opt out, since Web Learners will not be allowed to register for face-to-face classes.

The tuition rate for all KSU online courses will be $300 higher per 3-semester-credit-hour course than the regular in-state tuition (whether you are signed up for the Web Learner Program or not).  Out-of-state students who enroll in the Web Learners Program will pay this online rate of tuition rather than the normal out-of-state tuition.

Please be aware that because the Program is new and capacity is limited, there is no guarantee that a particular course will be available online or that you will get a seat.  We will be growing the Program in the future.  If the schedule of courses does not meet your needs or you cannot get a seat in the online course(s) you want during your early registration period, you can opt out of the Web Learners Program and you will be assigned your normal registration time during Priority Registration.
