Cartersville Magazine Hosts Carpet Capital Reception and Book-Signing
| |
|
Cartersville Magazine was pleased to sponsor a reception and book-signing for authors Randall Patton and David Parker in honor of the publication of their new book Carpet Capital: The Rise of a New South Industry. Proceeds from the event -- book sales and the raffle of a vintage tufted bedspread -- benefited Roselawn Museum in Cartersville, Georgia, raising over $400. Roselawn is the former home of Sam P. Jones, nationally renown evangelist in the late 19th century. Despite a torrential downpour, guests from as far away as Atlanta, Rome, and Dalton attended the celebration, including many representatives from the carpet industry and the Carpet and Rug Institute. Author Randall Patton autographs a copy of Carpet Capital for reception guest, Joe Head, a Cartersville native and Director of Admissions at Kennesaw State University. | ![]() |
