Center for Regional History and Culture Kennesaw State University

Public Programs

In April 1998 the Center opened with a daylong program on North Georgia history, with well-known Southern Culture historian, Dr. James Cobb, delivering the keynote address.  Since then, the Center has held a number of public conferences including annual Jewish Life in the South and New Scholarship on the Civil War symposia.  The next Center-sponsored event, "Robert E. Lee:  The Man, the General, the Legend," will be held in the KSU Center on 12-13 May 2006.  One of the nation's premier Civil War historians, Gary Gallagher, will deliver the keynote address on the evening of May 12.  The program and registration form can be reached by clicking here.
