The Office of Research has implemented an electronic grants management system (SmartGrant) to streamline the grant submission, award, and management process at KSU. Principal investigators (PIs) will have access to live expenditure data in a user friendly way. On the preaward side, PIs will be able to log into the system, upload documents, and initiate electronic routing.

November 10, 2014: A joint Preaward and Postaward training session will be held November 18 @ 9am. Please sign up on OwlTrain to attend the session.
July 28, 2014: PIs, always communicate with your Chair and Dean to make sure you are providing all the documents needed for approval, e.g. an abstract, complete budget, budget justification. Although electronic routing can be started before these items are complete, your Department may require them before approving.
March 6, 2014: SmartGrant is now available to PIs and approvers for electronic routing.
