SmartGrant is KSU's electronic grants management system that streamlines the grant submission, award, and management process. On the preaward side, Principal Investigators (PIs) are able to develop budgets, upload documents for review, and initiate electronic routing. Once issued an award, PIs have access to live expenditure data in a user friendly way.

Updates & Tips
March 17, 2015: Make sure you always start routing at least a week before your deadline and inform OR if your Chair or Dean is out of the office and has someone filling in.
July 28, 2014: PIs, always communicate with your Chair and Dean to make sure you are providing all the documents needed for approval, e.g. an abstract, complete budget, budget justification. Although electronic routing can be started before these items are complete, your Department may require them before approving.
March 6, 2014: SmartGrant is now available to PIs and approvers for electronic routing.
