Code of Conduct

A violation of the Student Code of Conduct or the Residential Code of Conduct could result in your dismissal from housing. As with academic dismissals, dismissals from housing related to disciplinary action do not automatically release you from your contractual obligation with Place Properties. You will still have to fulfill your lease.

How to Renew Your Lease

Information on renewals will be arriving soon for Fall 2008. Check www.ksuhousing.com for more details!

Trash Removal

Trash removal services are not available.  Trash receptacles are located in the lots of all our communities, and there are deisgnated trash chutes in University Village and University Village Suites.  Any trash left in the breezeways, on the stairs, in the courtyard, on the patio, and any other area that is not the trash receptacle/chute will result in a fine of $25.

Renter's Insurance

We encourage all of our residents to purchase renter's insurance. This will help protect you against any unforeseen natural occurrences, such as weather, flood, fire, and theft. Renter's Insurance is relatively inexpensive. For more information, please visit our Web Resources page.

How to Make a Maintenance Request

Visit the KSU Housing website at www.ksuhousing.com and click on "Resident Portal." You can log in from there and put your own service request in! You will be able to submit your maintenance request online and get email confirmation of your request. You can also log back in later to see what has been done to correct the reported problem.

For emergencies, Contact KSU Housing at the following numbers:

KSU Place: 770-424-7640

University Place: 770-499-1995

University Village: 770-426-0668

Have your name, apartment, phone number, and the specifics of your maintenance problem.  They will record your information and pass it on to maintenance.  If your request is not an emergency, it will be handled on a first come/first served basis.  For after hours maintenance, please call the above number and leave a message.  For all after- hours emergencies (which include water leakages, heating and air problems, and lockout), call the above number and leave a message with a phone number where you can be reached.  Maintenance will return your call, assess the problem and provide assistance.

Contact an RA

Resident Assistants are assigned to each building in our residence halls.   If you have an issue that requires immediate assistance after 7:30 p.m., please call:

KSU Place - (404) 969-7818
University Place - (404) 969-8856
University Village - (404) 969-7819

The RA on duty will assist you. If they are busy with other residents, leave a message and the RA on duty will return your call.  If you would like to speak with an RA face-to-face, RAs are on duty at University Place Town Hall, University Village Centre and the KSU Place Club House from 7:30 p.m. until 11:30 p.m. everyday except selected holidays and during selected University breaks.  You can reach an RA 365 days a year by calling one of the numbers above.

Dining on Campus

The Kennesaw State University cafeteria provides a wide selection of food and drink that hits the spot just before you take that math final. The cafeteria is also open late in the evening, allowing a night student to grab a bite before class. Kennesaw State University also offers catering services for campus events.

Registrar

On the registrar site you'll find academic calendars, course descriptions, owl registration, and other helpful information.

Financial Aid

The mission of the Office of Student Financial Aid is to support the University's student success, enrollment, and retention goals by providing state, institutional, and federal student aid funds to eligible students. Services to students will be provided in a fair, sensitive, and confidential manner by a well trained and caring staff.

Student Life

The Kennesaw State University Student Life Center brings you services, resources, activities and events from the nonacademic side of college life. We like to thing of ourselves as a classroom - without walls. Use the menu to the left for information and links to the many things we provide - we hope your KSU experience will be richer because of us!

Owl Express

You may use the Owl Registration system to register/pay for classes, update PIN, view grades, academic transcripts, student records, and financial aid information. You'll need your KSU ID# and your Personal Identification Number (PIN).

Job Opportunities

Interested in working as an RA?  The KSU Residence Life program offers students the opportunity to apply for the position of Resident Assistant, or RA, as they are called. RAs are student leaders who live in the residential communities at KSU and who provide assistance, guidance, programming, and service to the residents.
