RESIDENCE LIFE AT KENNESAW STATE UNIVERSITY
 

In Fall 2002, KSU launched its first-ever residence life program! Since then we have grown to three apartment communities on campus: KSU Place, University Place, and our newest community, which opened in the Fall of 2004, University Village. All the housing is apartment-style, fully furnished with full kitchens. At both University Place and University Village, each apartment has a washer/dryer and a bedroom and bathroom per resident. At KSU Place, each apartment has four bedrooms, and two or three residents will share one bath. University Place can accommodate 700 residents; KSU Place can accommodate 582 residents; and University Village can accommodate 881 residents.

In the Fall of 2008, we will open the University Village Suites. This addition will house over 900 residents, in suite style housing, and will be home to our freshmen students. This will bring the on-campus population to over 3000 students!

The Residence Life program at Kennesaw State University strives to provide students with a safe, healthy and attractive living environment which supports the educational mission of the University. The overall emphasis of the residential education program is to continue to promote learning outside the classroom and support the academic enterprise.

Residence hall staff are educators. The primary focus of our professional, live-in staff is that of fostering student learning in all aspects of the residence hall experience. Some of the many ways in which staff accomplish this are educational programs, as well as social, vocational, physical and leadership opportunities.

Students living in residence will be provided with many significant opportunities to grow and develop. The communities developed in the residence halls and the programs and activities they provide have the potential to profoundly impact the quality of life for resident students while enhancing their academic experience and supporting the academic mission of Kennesaw State University.
