| Residence Hall Association |
The Residence Hall
Association (RHA) exists to serve the needs of residents
through advocacy and programming. Each on-campus
community has a Community Council, comprised of
floor/building representatives elected by the residents
each fall, and executive officers. The Community
Councils serve as the primary voice of the residents
within that community. The councils work collaboratively
with the RHA, which is comprised of officers from each
council and executive board members. The RHA is the
voice of all residents across campus to Residence Life
and other parties interested in matters affecting the
quality of life of residential students. All residents
are members of their local Community Council and the RHA.
The Community Councils meet regularly and offer
communitywide programs for the residents. With the
cooperation of the Community Councils, RHA also offers
larger programs that are open to all residents across
campus. KSU RHA is active in state, regional and
national associations comprised of RHA leaders from
other colleges and universities. RHA and Community
Council activities, along with RA and Residence Life
programs and services, are financially supported by the
Residence Life fee paid annually by all residential
students. To learn more about RHA and the Community
Councils, talk to your RA or contact Residence Life.
