Current Residents
The Department of Residence Life, together with your Resident Assistant staff, is working hard to create a comfortable living-learning environment for you! Please do not hesitate to contact the Resident Assistant (RA) or the Residence Director (RD) in your community with any questions or concerns you may have.

Living on campus gives you the best of all worlds – independent living in state-of-the-art residence halls, surrounded by other students and staff in a socially and academically supportive environment. With this independence also comes responsibility.

Here are a few tips to help you enjoy a successful on-campus living/learning experience:

  • Be neighborly
  • Treat others as you want to be treated AND as they want to be treated
  • Get to know your roommates and neighbors
  • Communicate openly and directly – if your roommate or neighbor does something that bothers you TALK TO THEM!
  • Follow the rules
  • Use common sense and pay attention
  • Lock your unit door and use the peephole
  • Keep records accurate – update e-mail, phone, etc. in Owl Express
  • Attend all mandatory meetings
  • Participate in programs and activities
  • Get enough sleep, eat healthy and exercise
  • Manage your time and money wisely
  • Keep your apartment clean
  • Keep your guests under control
  • Cooperate with staff – they are just doing their jobs!
  • Don’t just complain – offer solutions!
  • Resolve your own issues when possible, and please don’t have your parents make a phone call that YOU should be making!
