Jeff Cooper
Director of Residence Life

Jeff Cooper, Director of Residence Life, joined Kennesaw State University in June 2008. Jeff earned a Master of Education in College Student Affairs from the University of South Florida in 2000 and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Florida State University in 1995.  With over ten years of experience in the field of student housing and residence life administration, Jeff has served in many roles within public and private institutions.  Prior to joining KSU, Jeff served as the Director of Residence Life at Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida.  In 2008, Jeff joined KSU as the Associate Director of Residence Life and was selected as KSU’s second Director of Residence Life in November 2010. As Director, Jeff has responsibility for all personnel, programmatic, and budgetary matters for residence life operations.  Jeff also serves as an adjunct professor in the University College where he teaches a first-year seminar course each fall.  He is actively involved in national, regional, and state-level associations related to student affairs and student housing such as NASPA, SEAHO, and ACUHO-I.


Natalie Reckard
Assistant Director for Residence Life

Natalie Reckard is from the metro Atlanta area. She graduated from Agnes Scott College in 2005 with a BA in English and Political Science and received her Master's degree from Clemson University in 2008. Natalie's works with freshmen and she is responsible for NRHH, FRYE and RD Training. She also enjoys teaching a section of KSU 1101 to the incoming freshmen students. When she is not working, she likes spending time with her family and dogs Charley and Sadie. She loves shopping and getting out in Atlanta. In the future, she hopes to earn a Ph.D. in Higher education.


Justin Koonz
Assistant Director for Residence Life

Justin Koonz started working for KSU in June 2008. He got his B.A. in Psychology at Sacred Heart University where he was a Resident Assistant. He then got his M.B.A. in Managerial Leadership from Piedmont College where he was a Resident Director. Justin has attended RELI (Regional Entry Level Institute) as well as NHTI (National Housing Training Institute) and many other state and regional conferences. He has served on the GHO (Georgia Housing Officers) executive board for 2 years as Webmaster, and a 3 year term as VP/President and Past president. Justin has taught KSU1101 through the department of first year programs.  He loves bowling, golf and crossfit and is married to Tonya Koonz with their dog Freckles.


Sheryl Carter
Business Manager

Sheryl Carter joined the Residence Life Family in April 2007. Sheryl previously worked in the College of Nursing at Kennesaw State University. She hails from Kansas originally. Sheryl and her husband Dennis have 4 children and 8 grandchildren. Sheryl is active in the KSU Community and Alumni Choir.


Tasha Rogerson
Office Manager

Just a few years after getting her Bachelor’s degree in New York, Tasha moved to the UK to marry her best friend from England. While living in England, she worked in the public and private business sector, and enjoyed visiting European countries. Missing the U.S., she moved back to New York, and worked in the admissions department in a University. After five years, she wanted to make Georgia her new home. Today, she is blending in with her new KSU family in Residence Life. In her spare time Tasha enjoys cooking, writing mysteries and science fiction, reading, traveling around the U.S. and abroad, and loves to explore the beautiful parks and outdoor scenery of Georgia.



Paisley Martin
Area Coordinator, University Village Suites and KSU Place

Paisley is from Northern Virginia and joined KSU Residence Life in July 2013. She graduated from George Mason University in 2009 with a BS in Tourism and Events Management and received her Master’s Degree in Higher Education Administration from George Mason University in 2013. Paisley oversees the University Village Suites, KSU Place and the First Year Residential Experience (FYRE). When not working Paisley enjoys exploring the Atlanta area, spending time with her Beagle, Moli Mango, and her friends and family, cooking, shopping and traveling, especially to the beach!


Jared Campanella

Residence Director, KSU Place

Jared Campanella joined the Residence Life team in July 2012. He is originally from Los Angeles, California and has lived in Georgia for Seven years. He received his B.A. in Human Services with a focus in Case Management from Kennesaw State University. Jared has also completed numerous training courses through the Georgia Emergency Management Agency (GEMA) which has lead him to become a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) member as well as an active member of the Search and Rescue Team for Cobb County. While pursuing his undergraduate degree, Jared worked as a Resident Assistant for 3 years in University Village and University Village Suites and he has also be an Intern at two different collegiate recovery programs in the Kennesaw area. When Jared isn’t working, he enjoys cooking, bowling, drawing, sculpting, watching movies, running, and competing in mud/obstacle and trail races.


Cassi Bowen

Residence Director, University Village Suites - Building 3000

This is Cassi’s second year as a Resident Director at Kennesaw State University. She graduated from Clemson University in May 2013 with her Bachelors of Arts Degree in Political Science. Prior to coming to KSU, Cassi worked as a Resident Assistant at Clemson for 3 years, was President of NRHH, and an Administrative Hearing Conduct Board member. Cassi enjoys reading, movies and spending time enjoying the company of her family and friends. Clemson football, the Atlanta Falcons and the Atlanta Braves are her favorite teams, and she enjoys going to as many games as possible during the season.


Donta Ingram
Residence Director, University Village Suites - Building 4000

Donta is from Sumter, South Carolina and joined KSU Residence Life in July 2014. He got his B.S. in Biology at Limestone College where he was a Resident Assistant for three years and Student Body President. At Limestone, Donta was selected as the student coordinator of Limestone C.A.R.E.S., which stands for Community Awareness, Research, Education, and Service. The C.A.R.E.S. program won the A.P.C.A. National Service Engagement Award in 2012 and 2013. His favorite quote is “Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending" by Maria Robinson. Donta enjoys helping others and spending time with his family and friends. In his spare time, he loves watching sports especially the South Carolina Gamecocks, reading, watching movies, and traveling.

Jake Long
Residence Director, University Village - Buildings 2000 & 6000

Jake is joining the KSU Residence Life team from Fairbanks, AK. He has recently graduated from the University of Alaska Fairbanks with Bachelors in Business Administration with a concentration in Management. At UAF Jake worked as a Resident Assistant for two years and an Assistant Resident Director for one year. When he is not working Jake likes to take his bike and go exploring.


Trang Nguyen
Residence Director, University Village - Buildings 1000 & 5000

Trang Nguyen graduated from the University of North Georgia with a Bachelors of Science in Middle Grades Education in 2013. During her undergraduate career, she served for Residence Life and Student Life, focusing in orientation, leadership training, and freshmen students. This is Trang's second Residence Director experience. When not working Trang enjoys aimless sightseeing, reading, and spending quality time with friends, family, and her dog Atlas. She frequently travels to her other home: Toronto.



Paul DeCock
Area Coordinator, Austin Residence Complex

Paul DeCock is from Minnesota, and joined KSU in July of 2012. He graduated from St. Cloud State University with a BS in Marketing in 2001, and received his Master's Degree in Higher Education Administration from St. Cloud State University in 2012. Paul works with a variety of students and communities including the ERGO and Veterans communities. He is also responsible for Marketing and the RA Selection Process. In addition to attending KSU events, Paul enjoys watching sports, traveling, playing cards, watching movies, and golfing all with his wife Dani. 



Tiffany Hunt
Residence Director, Austin Residence Complex 1200-1400

Tiffany Hunt just joined the Residence Life team at KSU this summer. She grew up in Covington, Georgia, and she went to the University of North Georgia in Dahlonega to complete her undergraduate degree in Biology with a minor in Business Administration. While at UNG, she was an active member in the Residence Hall Association and in Greek life, and she was also an RA for two years. Tiffany plans to work toward a Masters in Higher Education Administration. When she is not working she enjoys traveling, eating at restaurants she’s never been to before, reading a good book, and spending quality time with family and friends.



Krysta Cosper
Residence Director, Austin Residence Complex 100-1100

Krysta Cosper was born in Panama City, Florida, and has been at KSU since 2009. During her undergraduate career, she served on multiple committees, was an Orientation Leader, and worked as an Resident Assistant for three years. She recently graduated from KSU with a B.S. in Psychology. She plans to pursue a Master's degree in Higher Education Administration. In her spare time, Krysta loves listening to music and attending concerts.
