10: Siegel institute Visiting Senior Research Fellow Dr. Rick Sutton and colleague Dr. Don Rubin, UGA, will present on their federal research project, "Documenting the Academic Impact of Study Abroad: Final Report of the GLOSSARI Project." 11: Lunch & a Movie Event: And the Band Played On, based on the book by Randy Shilts and teleplay by Arnold Shulman. This film presents a story of the discovery of the AIDS epidemic when AIDS was a word no one wanted to speak. It exposes political infighting of the scientific community hampering the early fight with it, and heroes who took it up as a fight for many that was fought by few.
