Along with the environmental theme of the sculpture, “Spaceship Earth” will also contain a time capsule. Sealed for 1,000 years, the time capsule will contain articles, essays, and answers to the question, “What can we do to save Planet Earth?” The time capsule will be placed within the main sphere of “Spaceship Earth” and will be dedicated and sealed when the last piece of quartz is placed into the sculpture.
