straight year after
losing to Chico State, 11-5, in the national championship game... The Fighting
Owls have been to the Division II Baseball Championship in each of the
past four seasons, winning the
national title in
1996... In the 1999 national championship contest, senior Jason Jones became
KSU's all-time leader in hits (285) and runs scored (200)... Jones was
named the 1999 Division II Position Player of the Year after earning First
Team All-America honors for the second consecutive campaign... |
