Whether it be a potential student, current student, staff or faculty member, or high level administrator, Alisha aims to please and is the ‘go to person’ for anyone who has questions about the programs in our college. She conducts advising sessions and reached over 3,800 potential students through outreach initiatives such as open houses and recruitment days. In addition, Alisha maintains our program's Web site. Alisha is highly productive; our efficiency and productivity are directly related to her taking the initiative to develop processes and procedures to streamline work, to assess effectiveness and efficiency and to track customer service quality. Alisha is a critical link in our continuing goal to offer graduate programs that meet the needs of professionals in our community. Outstanding work, Alisha!

The Employee of the Month is supervised and awarded throughout the year by Staff Awards and Recognition Committee, made up of members of Staff Senate. Once a month, the nominations that have been gathered are put to a vote by the committee and the results determine the Employee of the month for that month (click here for the online submission form).

The Employee of the Month receives several awards, including a $100.00 check from the KSU Foundation, a $25.00 check from the KSU Bookstore, a framed certificate, a banner, and a parking space of their choice for the entire month.

In addition to the Staff Employee of the Month, the Staff Awards and Recognition Committee facilitates the voting for the annual general staff awards which are held annually at the Opening of School. The winners for the 2008 Staff Awards are: Patricia Tilbian - Academic Support; Kathy Rechsteiner - Administrative Support; Shane Blalock - Campus Support; Linda Sayne - Employee of the Year; and Susan Blake - Administrator of the Year.
