Carrie is a front line person who interacts with students every day. Carrie always makes time if a student seems upset or just needs to talk. She is warm and caring, and we jokingly say she “coddles” our students...but if it was my child, I would want Carrie assisting because she is so kind and caring. The epitome of a professional, Carrie is able to walk the line between giving sound advice and also being firm enough to keep students accountable for their actions. She is also the cheerleader for our office by organizing quarterly lunches to recognize staff birthdays. She is the #1 go-to person for this department. Carrie works tirelessly to make sure everything is running smoothly and constantly looks for ways to improve processes and customer service. She truly deserves the Employee of the Month award and would be truly honored to receive it. Super job, Carrie!

The Employee of the Month is supervised and awarded throughout the year by Staff Awards and Recognition Committee, made up of members of Staff Senate. Once a month, the nominations that have been gathered are put to a vote by the committee and the results determine the Employee of the month for that month (click here for the online submission form).

The Employee of the Month receives several awards, including a $100.00 check from the KSU Foundation, a $25.00 check from the KSU Bookstore, a framed certificate, a banner, and a parking space of their choice for the entire month.

In addition to the Staff Employee of the Month, the Staff Awards and Recognition Committee facilitates the voting for the annual general staff awards which are held annually at the Opening of School.
