With Spring Commencement wrapping up I was made
aware of an individual that, although may seem to be in the background, made
it work without a hitch. Without this person graduates, during the
culmination of their educational career, would literally fall out of line.
The ever-changing list of graduates, who is walking in the ceremony, and the
names printed on diplomas that will forever hang on walls can be a daunting
process. Smiles and kind words are always present during the process that
they are gearing up for commencements and throughout the final days filled
with families and well wishes. Hard work, dedication, patience, kindness,
and joy are all words that I would use to describe this person. Great job, Jaclyn!

The Employee of the Month is supervised and
awarded throughout the year by Staff Awards and Recognition Committee, made
up of members of Staff Senate. Once a month, the nominations that have been
gathered are put to a vote by the committee and the results determine the
Employee of the month for that month (click here for
the online submission form).
The Employee of the Month receives several
awards, including a $100.00 check from the KSU Foundation, a $25.00 check
from the KSU Bookstore, a framed certificate, a banner, and a
parking space of their choice for the entire month.
In addition to the Staff Employee of the
Month, the Staff Awards and Recognition Committee facilitates the voting for
the annual general staff awards which are held annually at the Opening of
School. |
