Having worked at KSU for over 5 years, I can
only think of a small group of employees that have demonstrated the service
and commitment to their customers that Jessica Baker demonstrates. She works
late, timely responds to phone calls and immediately acts on requests. This
is one employee that ALWAYS goes above and beyond the call of duty. Her
attitude toward KSU and interactions with me as a customer have always been
outstandingly pleasant. Her quality customer service has created a sense of
professionalism in the HR department that has surpassed expectations. It is
difficult to express how her performance has impacted the university in a
few words. I can say, however, as one of the first points of contact at the
university, Jessica makes a favorable impression on everyone, thus
increasing the value of a KSU experience! Awesome work, Jessica!

The Employee of the Month is supervised and
awarded throughout the year by Staff Awards and Recognition Committee, made
up of members of Staff Senate. Once a month, the nominations that have been
gathered are put to a vote by the committee and the results determine the
Employee of the month for that month (click here for
the online submission form).
The Employee of the Month receives several
awards, including a $100.00 check from the KSU Foundation, a $25.00 check
from the KSU Bookstore, a framed certificate, a banner, and a
parking space of their choice for the entire month.
In addition to the Staff Employee of the
Month, the Staff Awards and Recognition Committee facilitates the voting for
the annual general staff awards which are held annually at the Opening of
School. |
