June - Anna McCoy
Office of Research

The Kennesaw Mountain Writing Project could not have survived the past few years without Anna McCoy. Anna walks across campus so many times to meet with us in person; calmly trains us on processes we need to learn; and is always available by phone and email to give quick responses to our questions, concerns, and changes needed on documents.  Anna goes out of her way to assist us with budget reports, questions, paperwork and procedural misunderstandings, to even research the information from other departments on campus to get us the information we need.  She does this all with cheer and encouragement. Her efficiency, dedication, and above-and-beyond approach makes her a vital asset. She excels in the performance of her duties and serves as an example to other staff throughout KSU.  Anna is a breath of fresh air in the detailed world of accounting that we non-accounting folks desperately need. Outstanding job, Anna!

The Employee of the Month is supervised and awarded throughout the year by Staff Awards and Recognition Committee, made up of members of Staff Senate. Once a month, the nominations that have been gathered are put to a vote by the committee and the results determine the Employee of the month for that month (click here for the online submission form).

The Employee of the Month receives several awards, including a $100.00 check from the KSU Foundation, a $25.00 check from the KSU Bookstore, a framed certificate, a banner, and a parking space of their choice for the entire month.

In addition to the Staff Employee of the Month, the Staff Awards and Recognition Committee facilitates the voting for the annual general staff awards which are held annually at the Opening of School.
