This person works effectively and efficiently
with faculty and staff in all departments in our college. The nature of the
job is that interruptions are constant, unexpected, and present a variety of
interesting dilemmas! In many cases, matters require a seasoned depth of
knowledge about KSU policies and practices in order to be handled properly,
and this person deploys whatever amount of time, effort and contacts it
takes to resolve any issues that arise. This person always smiles, never
makes anyone feel "less than" for asking the same question 100 times, and
has a servant's heart. The genuine love this person displays for the
university, the faculty and the staff is evident in every transaction and
every encounter. What an asset to KSU, to our office and college as a whole.
This person has been behind the scenes for too long and deserves to be
recognized for stellar work ethic, immutable problem-solving skills, and an
absolutely delightful attitude that makes us all smile about budgets.

The Employee of the Month is supervised and
awarded throughout the year by Staff Awards and Recognition Committee, made
up of members of Staff Senate. Once a month, the nominations that have been
gathered are put to a vote by the committee and the results determine the
Employee of the month for that month (click here for
the online submission form).
The Employee of the Month receives several
awards, including a $100.00 check from the KSU Foundation, a $25.00 check
from the KSU Bookstore, a framed certificate, a banner, and a
parking space of their choice for the entire month.
In addition to the Staff Employee of the
Month, the Staff Awards and Recognition Committee facilitates the voting for
the annual general staff awards which are held annually at the Opening of
School. |
