This employee is meticulous, gracious, prompt,
creative, and a pleasure to have in our department. I cannot enumerate the
number of times this person has gone out of the way to help me, students,
and other faculty and staff members. Because this employee is so capable in
our office, he/she has literally freed-up some of my time so I can
concentrate more on delivering my courses and doing my research.
This staff person brightens our office every day, making it vastly more
pleasant for faculty, students, and other staff members. There is nothing
this staff member won't do to make our jobs easier, and often this person
anticipates things that will do just that. Everything this person does is
undertaken with care and conscientiousness. I can't think of anyone who does
a better job representing KSU to students and anyone who calls our office. I
wish I had this person's level of patience with difficult people.
Works tirelessly, efficiently, and without complaint under all
circumstances, while maintaining a happy disposition. Goes above and beyond
to get things done immediately.
I am nominating this person because of the cheerful, can-do attitude they
exhibit every day. I don't think I have ever seen this person in a bad mood
or unwilling to fix a problem. I would be lost without assistant from
him/her. Likely, my day would not start on such a positive note without
his/her positive energy and happy greeting each morning.
She is an exceptional staff member, consistently going above and beyond to
assist students and faculty. What stands out about her is her friendly
disposition and understanding of her position. Even on her busiest days, she
has a smile and expertly and patiently juggles her many responsibilities.
She is a quick learner and is more than willing to seek feedback related to
her efforts. I know of no one more deserving of this award than her.
This employee is indispensable to our department. In addition to becoming
one of the key faces and voices that visitors to our department interact
with, this employee has shown tremendous initiative to resolve tasks and
challenges that have previously hindered workflow and productivity. This
employee has tackled some of the more complicated, and sometimes
frustrating, transitions in software on campus and consistently demonstrated
a high degree of knowledge, dedication, and perseverance. This employee is a
tremendous asset and deserves recognition.
Amazing job, Jennifer!

The Staff Employee of the Month is supervised and
awarded throughout the year by Staff Awards and Recognition Committee, made
up of members of Staff Senate. Once a month, the nominations that have been
gathered are put to a vote by the committee and the results determine the
Staff Employee of the month for that month (click here for
the online submission form).
The Employee of the Month receives $100 in
his/her paycheck from the KSU Foundation, a $25 gift card from the KSU
Bookstore, a certificate signed by President Papp, a poster, a parking space
of his/her choice for a month, and automatic nomination for Staff Employee
of the Year.
In addition to the Staff Employee of the
Month, the Staff Awards and Recognition Committee facilitates the voting for
the annual general staff awards which are held annually at the Opening of
School. |
