Homelessness Awareness Week
Taking place in October, Homelessness Awareness Week (HAW) at KSU provides an opportunity to learn more about this “invisible” sector in society. The activities, including a conference and a 42-hour on-campus Sleep-Out, can increase our knowledge and understanding of living without reliable shelter and food, and sometimes living without hope. Campus partners in this initiative include Adult Learner Programs, Center for Student Leadership, Student Life, and KSU Department of Public Safety. Faculty, staff, and student groups are invited to develop programs and activities in support of this event. For more information on participating in HAW, please contact Janese Thompson at jthompso@kennesaw.edu.

Project Perfect Prom
The Adult Learner Student Organization is collecting prom attire for young ladies and men (gowns, tuxedos, suits, shoes and accessories). Donations will be accepted until Friday, January 11, 2013. Drop off your donations at the Lifelong Learning Center, Room 261 in the Student Center. For information call (770) 423-6701 or email rpowel26@kennesaw.edu.
Feast of Sharing
Every November, the Adult Learner Student Organization coordinates an event called Feast of Sharing, a charity dinner event. Students, faculty, and staff members can donate cans of food or money to enjoy a Thanksgiving style meal and entertainment. Feast of Sharing serves the double role of proving donations for KSU's Feed the Future pantries and also bring the KSU community together for some holiday spirit and community building.
