Adult Learner Recognition Ceremony
The ceremony recognizes adult students who have shown success in coping with numerous roles (e.g., work, school, and family), have overcome difficult circumstances to pursue higher education needs, and have taken innovative approaches to reach their goals. WINGS Ceremony
This ceremony, which is held at the end of each Fall and Spring semester, is an opportunity for graduating students to recognize special supporters who have encouraged and supported them through their college years. Adult Learner Information Seminar
New KSU Adult Learners, you are invited to attend a community building seminar to provide adult learners the opportunity to connect with new and current students prior to Fall and Spring semester classes. It will also relieve common fears by reviewing adult-learner-specific academic resources and introduce individual and group support for the adult learner such as Adult Learner Student Organization, Odyssey Peer Mentor Program and the Lifelong Learning Center. Family Fun Day
Join the KSU Campus Community once each semester for free Saturday entertainment at Family Fun Day! Children and adults play and learn together in the special activity, "Playing Your Way Around the World: Education Through Cultural Games." Then share lunch, a prize drawing, and a popular family movie. Co-sponsored by Adult Learner Programs (ALP), Kennesaw Activities Board (KAB), and International Student Association (ISA). Positive Parenting Strategies
Monthly luncheon gatherings providing parenting information on specific topics offered to students, staff, and faculty parents to help balance their many roles on and off campus. Parent-to-Parent Network and Support Group
Open to all KSU student, staff, and faculty parents, this group provides a confidential environment to share parenting issues and successes with others. Topics are driven by the interests of the participants. Group facilitators are Parent's HELP Mentors from Cherokee Child Advocacy Council.
