Requesting a Federal Work-Study Position in Your Office or Department
To request a NEW FWS student assistant position:
- Contact the FWS Program Coordinator at (770) 423-6521 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com to request the necessary forms.
- Submit the form to the FWS Program Coordinator, Student Center Room 267, MD #0502, Fax (770) 423-6667. (Note: A request does not guarantee that a FWS position will be approved; it depends on available funding and the job training opportunities offered by the position.)
- The request for a FWS student assistant will be reviewed and an approval or denial will be rendered based on available FWS funding. Supervisors will receive a notification of the decision by email. Departments may not hire a Federal Work Study student assistant until the position has been approved.
