KSU African American Male Initiative (KSUAAMI)

The KSU African American Male Initiative exists in partnership with faculty, staff and students to focus on increasing enrollment, retention, and graduation rates of Black men at Kennesaw State University (KSU) through mentoring, leadership development, and the celebration of academic and leadership achievements. It is housed within Multicultural Student Retention Services (MSRS).

Please fill out the KSU AAMI Application. The application is available through the online form below or as a downloadable PDF file. In addition, you will need to also provide two letters of support in the following areas:

1. Community Service Verification - Include a form verifying your participation in a minimum of 20 community service hours. This form must be completed either by a project director, project manager, or supervisor. Verification of community service from VKSU is also accepted. The form must include official letterhead, the date of your service, the type of service, and their impressions of your commitment. The form must also include a hand-written signature and date.

2. Letter of Recommendation from a Faculty or Administrative Staff Member - This letter must be on letterhead and include the length of time that the recommender has known you, in what capacity, and their impressions of your potential to be a productive participant in this study abroad experience. The letter must also have a hand written signature and date.

Letters of support should be e-mailed to ksuaami@kennesaw.edu, faxed to 770-423-6667, or dropped off to room 263 of the Student Center.
