The Multicultural Programming Board is seeking highly motivated, creative, and enthusiastic students to plan and formulate events for Hispanic American, African American, Native American, and Asian American Heritage months. The aim of the MPB (Multicultural Programming Board) is to promote awareness and appreciation for the diversity represented on Kennesaw States Campus by creating informative and fun programming for students and staff. Giving Thanks Luncheon:


"Giving Thanks" was an event aimed to assist in replenishing items necessary for the KSU C.A.R.E Center. These items take care of KSU students who are struggling with food insecurity. All supplies are based upon donations and are available to students as long as supplies are continually received. The menu that included the following: Sliced Roasted Turkey, Traditional Gravy and Stuffing, Corn Bread, Collard Greens, Steamed Green Beans, Macaroni and Cheese, Dessert, Chocolate Cake, and Sweat Potato Pie! Students were allowed admission by either donating 5 canned goods or $5. This event was a perfect leeway into supporting the observance of Homeless Awareness Week.

KSU Day At Six Flags Over Georgia:


Multicultural Student Retention Services invited all to KSU Friends and Family Day at Six Flags Over Georgia during Fright Fest! The event took place Saturday, October 24, 2015 from 12 PM-12 AM and with a special Admission and Buffet price of $41! This package included a one-day admission pass to the park, parking pass, and All-You-Can-Eat buffet lunch. The Menu included: Southern Fried Chicken Sandwiches, Beef Hotdogs, Veggie Baked Beans, Potato Chips, Ice Cream Bars, and Coca-Cola Beverages. There was a picnic area available from 1:00pm-3:00pm with meal served from 1:30pm-2:30pm. Kids 2 and under were free to be admitted with the first 100 to earn a complimentary Flashpass for the event!

Latinos Unidos:


The Multicultural Student Retention Services in Collaboration with the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, was glad to announce the coming of "Latinos Unidos". This event was a time for KSU students to network with Latino business professionals and students to wrap up Hispanic Heritage Month.

La Plaza and MSRS Initiatives Luncheon:


La Plaza is sponsored by the (KSU) Multicultural Planning Board and Multicultural Student Retention Services (a unit of the Department of Student Development). The entire KSU community is invited to visit department, student organization and vendor tables from 11:00AM until 3:00PM. Light refreshments are sponsored by Chuy's Kennesaw, Mexican Food. Stop by and collect coupons, brochures for your future use! Other departments and student groups will be available to share with you there services and resources. The MSRS Initiatives Luncheon was put on by Interns Marika Blackmon and Alex Villanueva to bring awareness to students of the organizations the make the MSRS unique and different from any other department on campus. Through this event we were also able to spread awareness of the Cultural Awareness Resource Center and the services offered.
