SPRING / SUMMER / FALL 2013 GROUP PROJECTS

Each month VKSU will offer a group project that will be open to ten (10) interested KSU students. Transportation and lunch, if applicable, will be provided by VKSU. Students will be picked up and dropped off at the Carmichael Student Center the day of the event. The dates and times of the project will be determined by VKSU, but events will always be on a Saturday or Sunday. The length of the project will typically be between 4 to 6 hours.

Welcome to Spring semester 2013!!!

April Group Project (As of 1/15/2013, this event is currently full)

• Kennesaw Mountain Trail Club in Kennesaw
• Helping clean the trails of debris, picking up trash, and/or removing evasive plants
  • Saturday, April 13, from 8:00 am - 2:00 pm
• Students will receive five (5) hours of volunteer credit for this project and complimentary lunch.
• March of Dimes (As of 4/15/2013, this event is currently full)
• Help set up, serve as a course monitor, serve food, and break down the event.
  • Saturday, April 27, from 6:00 am - 2:00 pm
• Students will receive eight (8) hours of volunteer credit for this project and complimentary breakfast and lunch.

May Group Project (As of 4/8/2012, this event is currently full!)

• Global Growers in DeKalb County
• Possible activities include: preparing garden beds, making compost, farmscaping our sites for increased sustainability, planting and harvesting.
• Saturday, May 4, from 8:00 am - 2:30 pm
• Students will receive five (5) hours of volunteer credit for this project and complimentary lunch.
• Waiver students can still get credit for Spring semester 2013!!!
