About
VKSU is a campus-based community service center matching volunteers'
interests with community needs. Students, faculty, and staff who
wish to volunteer are "plugged in" to help meet needs through VKSU's
coordination with more than 300 organizations in the community.
KSU students are encouraged to learn and serve through individual
volunteer placements and group service projects.

How You Can Volunteer
Volunteer Kennesaw State University has a variety of volunteer opportunities
for students, faculty, and staff. Some of the volunteer services
you might provide include:
- work in a shelter
- help build a Habitat for Humanity house
- prepare food baskets for Thanksgiving and Christmas
- tutor an at-risk child who needs one-on-one help
- give a blood donation to help save lives

Volunteer Registration Process
1. Check the Community Service
Agency Directory or VKSU Community Service
Programs and select an agency or program that you want to
discuss with a VKSU assistant.
2. Print and complete the Volunteer Application
Form (application forms are also available in the VKSU office,
Student Center 264).
3. Deliver the completed application form to VKSU, Student Center
Room 264, during regular business hours.
4. VKSU assistants will provide you with information on the community
agency you have selected or provide volunteer options in your interest
area.
5. VKSU assistants will notify the community agency regarding the
day and time you will report for service.
6. After completion of service, both the volunteer and the agency
complete a community service verification form.
VKSU monitors the progress of volunteer activities through follow-up
mailings to the volunteer and the agency.
If you would like to talk with a VKSU assistant before selecting
your agency, please visit the VKSU office in the Carmichael Student
Center, Room 264.
Agency Registration
If your non-profit/community service agency would like to be considered
as a volunteer site, please download and complete the Agency Registration Form
(Word format) and FAX to VKSU at 770-423-6667. You will be contacted by a VKSU
staff member to discuss options.
