The KSU Ambassadors

The KSU Ambassadors organization is a unit of the Department of Student Involvement, which is part of the Division of Student Affairs.

President Emeritus Dr. Betty Siegel founded the Ambassadors in 1985. The Ambassadors act as official hosts and goodwill ambassadors for the university. They represent KSU at a variety of special events, on and off campus, throughout the year. These events include all graduation ceremonies, convocations, guest lectures, gallery openings, honor society inductions, and receptions, to name a few. Some of these events involve the President of KSU, the President’s Cabinet, legislators, members of the Board of Regents, the KSU Foundation, as well as the faculty, staff and students of KSU.

The Ambassadors perform various functions at these special events, including greeting and directing guests, handing out programs, distributing nametags, giving tours of the campus, sometimes pouring punch and helping serve refreshments, and helping to provide customer service at the graduation ceremonies.

By investing a few hours of your time each semester, you can become a member of one of KSU's oldest and most respected student organizations. Serving as an Ambassador will also provide you with the opportunity to learn valuable leadership, communication, and public relations skills.
