Student Assistant Positions: Campus jobs for KSU students

Notice to KSU students seeking campus employment:

The KSU Department of Student Life provides this page as a service to KSU students, as well as KSU offices seeking student assistants. It is the student's responsibility to contact the sponsoring office or department to verify availability and to apply for positions.

The Federal minimum wage is now $7.25/hour in compliance with the new minimum wage standard. KSU Student Assistants, in most cases, are paid $7.25/hour, with a maximum of 20 hours per week.

PLEASE NOTE: If you are hired, you cannot be paid until you have completed the new hire orientation process. Orientation is scheduled by Human Resources. Student orientation sessions are on Wednesdays ONLY from 1:30-3:30 p.m. Please call Human Resources at 770-423-6030 to register for the session and reserve your spot.

All student assistants employed through the Federal Work-Study program must first complete paperwork in the Office of Financial Aid before attending orientation session. You should also complete the online Work-Study application, available at the Office of Student Financial Aid Website. The necessary Online Work-Study application is available in the right menu.

Position: Student Assistant.
Where: Willingham Hall Bldg. #23, Rm. 223
When: Immediate
Schedule/When needed: Monday - Friday, morning or evening shifts available.
Skills required/desired:  Punctuality and professionalism; general knowledge of Dreamweaver and Microsoft Office.
Job duties: Answer telephone, basic support for changing word content on website and for applying  general  microsoft office program skills to  documents.

When: Spring Semester 2010
Schedule/When needed: Mornings on Monday/Wednesday starting at 8:00 AM until 2 PM and Tuesday from 3:30 PM until 7 PM.

Where: Baker Elementary Afterschool Program
When: Continuous Terms
Schedule: 15-20 hours a week, during elementary school hours, M-F, 2:30pm – 7:00pm. The school will work around your schedule.
Skills: GPA 2.5 or better. Prefer Education Majors. You must enjoy working with young students, very dependable, good role model for young students.
Job duties: Tutoring Students in Grades 1-5, with supervision. Requires own transportation to nearby school site.
Pay Rate: $8.50/hr. Must be Federal Work-Study eligible!
