Alpha
Delta Omega (human service education): Alpha Delta Omega is
an honor society with the purpose of promoting high ideals in the field
of human services and to recognize individuals who exhibit superior
scholastic and leadership qualities, character, and participation in
the field of human services.
Alpha
Kappa Delta (sociology): Alpha Kappa Delta strives to promote the study
of social issues and serve humankind, while at the same time providing
an extracurricular outlet for students interested in the study of sociology.
Must be an officially declared sociology major or demonstrate a serious
interest in sociology within an official program at Kennesaw State University.
Must be at least a junior (third year) by the standards of Kennesaw
State University. Must have accumulated the equivalent of an overall
g.p.a. of 3.0 and rank in the top 35% of their class in general scholarship.
Must have maintained the equivalent of a 3.0 g.p.a. in sociology courses
taken at Kennesaw State University prior to initiation. Must have completed
at least four regular courses in sociology prior to initiation.
Alpha Psi Omega (theatre): The purpose of Alpha Psi Omega is to stimulate interest in
theater activities at KSU and to secure for the college all the advantages
and mutual helpfulness provided by a large national honor society. By
electing students to membership, the society provides a reward for participation
in theater activities of the University.

Beta
Beta Beta: Beta Beta Beta (TriBeta) is an honor and professional society for students of the biological sciences. Founded in 1922 at Oklahoma City University by Frank G. Brooks, TriBeta now has over 370 chapters in colleges and universities across the United States. The Tau Epsilon chapter of TriBeta was established at Kennesaw College in 1988. Since then, members have participated in a variety of activities. These have included: sponsoring seminar speakers, sponsoring the District Science Fair for high school students, student mentoring, camping trips, Whitewater rafting, river and beach cleanups, and District TriBeta meetings.
Blue Key National
Honour Society (general honor society): Blue Key recognizes outstanding
students for their academic excellence and leadership abilities. Blue
Key is also a service organization actively seeking to apply the abilities
of its members to serving the campus community as well as the community
at large. At Kennesaw State students must be junior or senior status
upon initiation, exhibit leadership potential, and have a GPA in the
top 10% of ones major.

Gamma Sigma Alpha Honors Society: Gamma Sigma Alpha, National Greek Academic Honor Society, was founded to promote intellectual interaction between Greek students and the academic community. The purpose of the Society is to promote the advancement of education among Greeks; to instill a greater spirit of cooperation among Greek students and organizations and to encourage excellence in scholarship. It is open to any student who is a member of a fraternity/sorority at KSU who belongs to any of the following governing bodies: KSU Panhellenic Association, KSU Interfraternity Council, and KSU National Pan-Hellenic Council.
Golden
Key International Honour Society (general honor society): Golden Key International Honor Society is a nonprofit academic honors organization. The goals of this society are to: recognize and encourage scholastic achievement and excellence in all undergraduate fields of study; unite with faculty and administrators in developing and maintaining high
standards of education; provide economic assistance to outstanding members by means of both undergraduate and graduate scholarships; and promote scholastic achievement and voluntary service (www.goldenkey.org).
Kappa
Delta Pi (education): Kappa Delta Pi is the premier Education Honor Society dedicated to scholarship and excellence in education. The Tau Sigma Chapter at KSU was founded in 1994 and in 1999 our "Reading is Fun" program was commended by a resolution passed by the Georgia Assembly. Membership in KDP at the undergraduate level requires admission to the Bagwell College of Education and an accumulative 3.5 GPA; graduate students must have an accumulative 3.25 GPA.
Lambda Alpha Honor Society (anthropology): The purpose of Lambda Alpha is to encourage and stimulate scholarship and research in anthropology by recognizing and honoring superior achievement in the discipline among students, faculty and other persons engaged in the study this field. This society is also interested in getting to know the students in our organization. We will encourage students in this society to join members in after school activities, lectures, discussing anything that involves anthropology, and simply haning out and becoming friends.
Lambda
Pi Eta (communication): The purpose of this organization is
to recognize and honor the academic achievements of communication students.
Eligible students are invited to join through a computer search of communication
students with at least a 3.25 GPA.
National
Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS): The purpose of the NSCS is to
recognize and celebrate high achievement among first and second year
students in all academic disciplines. Membership is by invitation only
and is open to students who have successfully completed at least 12
credit hours but no more than 60, are first or second year students
at the time of affirmation and have attained at least a 3.4 GPA.

Order of Omega (sorority/fraternity): The purpose of the National Order of Omega is to honor sorority and
fraternity members for exemplary leadership, scholarship and character.
Membership into the National Order of Omega is a very prestigious honor,
limited to the top 3% of the campus sorority/fraternity population or
15 members, whichever is greater. In order to be eligible for membership,
students must be classified as junior or senior, must have above a 3.0
GPA and must be members of an NPC, NPHC or NIC group. Membership is
based upon invitation at various times of the year.
Phi
Alpha Theta (history): This organization recognizes excellence
in the study of history. To be eligible an undergraduate must have completed
at least 12 semester hours of history and be in the top 35% of the class.
Phi Delta Kappa: The premier professional association for educators strives to prepare the next generation of educators as well as to serve practicing teachers, administrators, college educators, and those concerned about public education through a wide range of innovative initiatives based on visionary leadership, relevant research, and dedicated service. Phi Eta Sigma (first year honor society): Phi Eta Sigma recognizes first year students
who have attained at least a 3.5 GPA at the conclusion of any semester
of their first year. Letters are sent to eligible students and an induction
ceremony is held each spring.
Phi
Kappa Phi (general honor society): The primary purposes of Phi Kappa Phi are to promote the pursuit of excellence in all fields of higher education and to recognize outstanding achievement by students, faculty, and others. Junior class students must have completed at least 75 hours of course work at Kennesaw State University; and be in the upper 7.5% of their class. Senior class students must have completed at least 90 hours at Kennesaw State University, and be in the upper 10% of their class. In addition, certain graduate students may be eligible for membership. Up to four faculty members may be inducted each year.
Phi Lambda Upsilon (chemistry): Phi Lambda Upsilon is the Honorary Chemical Society, Beta
Upsilon Chapter. The object of this Society shall be the promotion of
high scholarship and original investigation in all branches of pure
and applied chemistry.
Pi Sigma Alpha (political science): Our purpose is to stimulate productive scholarship and intelligent interest in the subject of government among students. To be eligible for membership a student must be a junior or senior that has completed ten semester hours or work in political science while maintaining A/B or higher average in all political science courses.
Phi Sigma Pi: Service projects and events are a key part of Phi Sigma Pi’s strength and motives. Phi Sigma Pi believes that by undertaking service projects, students can learn about the problems facing society and can better shape their views and leadership skills. Who’s Eligible to Join? Students must have at least 12 completed hours, a cumulative 3.0 GPA or higher, and minimum of 2 remaining semesters as an undergraduate at Kennesaw State University. Members of Phi Sigma Pi are expected not only to succeed in their own academic endeavors but also to assist in the educational process for members of their organization and community.
Psi Chi (psychology): Psi Chi is an honors society for psychology majors. We will host guest speakers from the field to talk at our meetings. We will be hosting at least one charitable event benefiting a non-profit organization. Some meetings will be dedicated to providing information about applying to graduate programs in psychology.
Sigma
Delta Pi (Spanish): Sigma Delta Pi is an organization that recognizes excellence in the study of the Spanish language, civilization and literature. It honors those who have made Hispanic contributions to modern culture better known in the English-speaking world. It also encourages college and university students to acquire a greater interest in, and a deeper understanding of Hispanic culture. There are over 500 chapters of Sigma Delta Pi in colleges and universities throughout the country.

Tau Delta (English):
Sigma Tau Delta's central purpose is to confer distinction upon students of the English language and literature in undergraduate, graduate and professional studies.
Sigma Theta Tau International, Mu Phi Chapter (Nursing): The mission of the Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International is to support the learning, knowledge, and professional development of nurses committed to make a difference in health worldwide by creating a global community of nurses who lead in using knowledge, scholarship, service and learning to improve the health of the world’s people. Membership is by invitation to baccalaureate and graduate nursing students who demonstrate excellence in scholarship, and to nurse leaders exhibiting exceptional achievements in nursing.
