INTRAMURAL SPORTS

Intramural Sports is comprised of organized sport leagues, tournaments and other special events for the KSU community. All KSU students, as well as faculty and staff are encouraged to participate. Leagues are offered in various sports throughout the year and all skill levels are welcome. Whether you are a seasoned veteran or a rookie looking to get involved in something new, we are bound to have something for everyone.

Who can play?
All currently enrolled KSU students and faculty and staff members of the Student Recreation & Wellness Center can participate in Intramural Sports. Each participant must complete an Assumption of Risk, Waiver Release form, which can be done at the front counter of the Student Recreation & Wellness Center. All participants must also present their KSU ID card to Intramural Staff before participating in each Intramural contest.

Do I need to be an expert?
No, Intramural Sports are designed for participants of all skill levels to play. When possible, teams/participants will be grouped into divisions of similar skill levels.

How much does it cost?
There is no charge to participate in KSU Intramural Sports; however each team/participant must submit a forfeit deposit with their registration. The fee will be refunded at the end of the season if the team/individual completes the season and tournament without forfeiting a contest. The current forfeit fee is $5 per person for individual sports and $20 per team for team sports.

When/where are intramural sports held?

Most intramural sports are held during the week in the afternoon, early evening, and late nights. Most activities take place on campus; however, we do have a few sports that are held off-campus. For competition days, times and locations, please take a look at the Intramural Sports Schedule below.

May varsity or former varsity athlete participate?
Yes, current and former varsity athletes can participate in Intramural Sports with the one exception: current varsity athletes cannot participate in the related intramural sport that they play for the University. Former varsity athletes are allowed to play in their related sport.
