Campus Posting Policy & Advertising Events

This policy can be found in full on page 72 of the KSU Student Handbook.

1. Flyers may be posted on any bulletin board on campus unless the board has been designated for specific use by a department or organization.

2. Flyers should not be posted on glass windows or doors, nor should flyers be posted on walls. Many flyers are posted in these areas, and someone in each building should be responsible for removing improperly posted flyers.

3. In the Student Center, flyers posted on glass windows or door, or on walls inside or outside the building, will be removed. There are several designated bulletin boards located inside the Student Center on which flyers may be posted.

4. Flyers posted in the Student Center must relate to KSU departments or organizations. All flyers relating to outside businesses on non-designated boards will be removed and discarded.

The Department of Student Life staff only manages the postings inside the Student Center, not postings in other buildings.

Flyers are not permitted in KSU's residential areas (University Place, KSU Place, or University Village) without prior permission from the Director of Residence Life. For posting in KSU's residential areas, please contact the Office of Residence Life at 770/420-4388.

Anyone who wants to advertise part-time jobs (such as child care or other temporary work), items for sale (not room rentals; see below) may send these items to Cathy Coulmas in the Department of Student Life via email to ccoulmas@kennesaw.edu, or the ads may be faxed to 770/423-6703. These ads will be posted for ten (10) days in one specific location inside the Student Center. No items larger than 8.5x11 will be accepted, and smaller ads are preferable.

For rooms for rent, and other accomodation advertisements, you have several options: Post flyers yourself on designated boards (free), the Online Housing Registry (about $30/month), or the campus newspaper classified ads (about $9 per run).
